Promotional T-shirt – a history worn since 1851

Publication date:

Fruit of the Loom was born in 1851, when brothers Benjamin and Robert Knight purchased their first mill and began producing cotton cloth and textiles in Warwick, Rhode Island. In 1871, Fruit of the Loom® was registered as an official trademark, making it one of the oldest brands in the world—this brand actually predates the invention of the light bulb, the automobile, and the telephone! Today, more than 160 years later, Fruit of the Loom is a global underwear and casual apparel business (promotional T-shirts, advertising T-shirts, polo shirts for workers and everyday wear, elegant shirts, business shirts, hoodies for work and casual wear, as well as tracksuits), employing more than 28,000 people worldwide. Fruit of the Loom colored T-shirts and underwear are known to consumers all over the world, and the name is synonymous with quality, value, and style. Staying true to our roots and close to the Fruit of the Loom heritage, Fruit of the Loom collections are authentic, timeless, and unmistakably Fruit of the Loom.

From the very beginning of the brand, the priority in clothing production has been a focus on quality. Full quality control is ensured through the production of garments, which has always taken place in Fruit’s own factories. This is extremely important because it allows the entire production process to be monitored, thereby eliminating errors and enabling constant innovation. Fruit of the Loom guarantees materials that provide an excellent surface for applying printing on T-shirts (DTG, sublimation, flex and flock, embroidery, screen printing). Most T-shirts are made from finely woven fabric, which is ideal for printing and resistant to wear, directly contributing to the durability of the printed design.

Regardless of your favorite color, you will surely find it in the palette offered by the Fruit of the Loom brand. From bold, vibrant, everyday, neutral tones to classic black and white. This year, the palette has been improved with new vintage tones and retro melange colors. Fruit offers a complete range suitable for any corporate identity, sports team, school uniform, or promotional activity. In the Fruit of the Loom product collection, the number of colors is constantly increasing, but of course, the best quality is not only in the colors themselves, but in their durability, which adds extra value. That is why Fruit uses only the best eco-friendly textile dyes to achieve excellent color fastness. The colors remain consistent, so customers can be sure that T-shirts purchased in different batches will have the same shade after every wash.

Fruit of the Loom uses only the best fabrics, ethically sourced, to produce its garments. Thanks to the use of high-quality raw materials and modern technological processes, Fruit of the Loom fabrics meet all required standards. T-shirts made of 100% cotton have a tighter weave to ensure outstanding print quality.

WRAP certification is the world’s largest independent certification program, supported by the apparel industry. The WRAP certification aims to ensure lawful, humane, and ethical manufacturing processes worldwide. To be certified, Fruit of the Loom factories undergo regular inspections and must comply with 12 WRAP principles. These include workplace regulations, prohibition of child labor, working hours, health and safety rules, discrimination policies, and security. The OEKO-TEX CERTIFICATE is a globally recognized textile testing and certification system. Testing criteria are unified worldwide and include pH tests, pesticides, and heavy metals. OEKO-TEX approves garments only when tests show no harmful substances are present.
